This was the end of the 12th round, the moment that Carl Frampton won his IBF World Super-Bantamweight title. I shot the fight on 35mm film and in the intensity of the last few rounds I had lost track. There were just two frames left on the roll when the bell went and he turned towards me in this state of total elation. Luckily, one frame was enough to capture the moment.

‘Flowers’ by Wendy Cope

Some men never think of it.
You did. You’d come alongAnd say you’d nearly brought me flowersBut something had gone wrong. The shop was closed. Or you had doubts -The sort that minds like oursDream up incessantly. You thoughtI might not want your flowers. It made me smile and hug you then. Now I can only smile. But, look, the flowers you nearly broughtHave lasted all this while.

#flower prints for open studio on saturday. #ilovefilm #filmsnotdead #cameraephemera

I’m having an Open Studio Saturday 13th September from 10-6pm, where I will be showing a selection of my large darkroom prints from my Meteorite series (yet to be exhibited here in the UK) and some flower prints form my last exhibition Camera Ephemera that just ended in Auckland. All work will be for sale and there will be be some small prints as well. I will also be holding a Darkroom Printing Workshop from 3-6pm. So if you have any black and white film, or even if you don’t and just want to experience printing in a darkroom and taking home your own handmade silver print, please let me know in advance so I can hold your space. Chemicals and paper on me. If you would like to bring your own film it can be any format from 35mm up to 10x8. The film must already be developed.

Please email casey@caseymoore.com to book your space (it’s free)

(I know this address may seem a little daunting… BUT it’s only a 10 minute drive down the A40 from Shep Bush (turn off at the Hoover Building - now a Tesco) OR 20 minutes along the Central Line from Oxford Circus - get off at Perivale, and then a 5 minute walk the other end)
