It’s the weekend.
This was the end of the 12th round, the moment that Carl Frampton won his IBF World Super-Bantamweight title. I shot the fight on 35mm film and in the intensity of the last few rounds I had lost track. There were just two frames left on the roll when the bell went and he turned towards me in this state of total elation. Luckily, one frame was enough to capture the moment.
The rest of my images from that night are on a hidden gallery on my website here - www.caseymoore.com/carl-frampton-vs-kiko-martinez
New series on the website. Corners.
Open Studios and darkroom workshop. Thanks to peeps who made the trip.
‘Flowers’ by Wendy Cope
And say you’d nearly brought me flowers
But something had gone wrong.
The shop was closed. Or you had doubts -
The sort that minds like ours
Dream up incessantly. You thought
I might not want your flowers.
It made me smile and hug you then.
Now I can only smile.
But, look, the flowers you nearly brought
Have lasted all this while.
New flower shot on the website
I will also be holding a Darkroom Printing Workshop from 3-6pm. So if you have any black and white film, or even if you don’t and just want to experience printing in a darkroom and taking home your own handmade silver print, please let me know in advance so I can hold your space. Chemicals and paper on me. If you would like to bring your own film it can be any format from 35mm up to 10x8. The film must already be developed.
